This is my first time doing the Teaser Tuesday Meme so I'm very excited. For this week, I'm actually reading two books, Fire by Kristin Cashore and The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. I'm lagging behind on The Iron King because I'm totally engrossed reading Fire. Here's one wonderful teaser for everyone:
She asked it very quietly. "Why are you kind to me?" He paused, watching her hands that pulled at the grass. He crouched down to her eye level. "Because I trust you."
I'm loving this book so much! I must admit that I get frustrated by the fact that Fire is being wanted by everyone because of her beauty but when Prince Brigan entered the picture, it's a totally different story. Can't wait to finish this book and start Graceling!

That sounds really good. I haven't read any of Kristin Cashore's books yet, but Graceling's been on my list for ages.

It's actually my first Cashore novel and I wasn't disappointed. ^_^ Can't wait to start Graceling and the third book in the series Bitterblue.

Beautiful book cover, and interesting teaser. I guess she's pulling at the grass because she's nervous. How sad that she's surprised when someone is kind to her.

Aw, I love this book. I agree, though, I think it's odd that Brigan is the ONLY one who can resist Fire. I get that he's supposed to have superior mental control or whatever, but he shouldn't be the only one who does.

I can't resist Brigan! I love his character. Have you read Graceling? I am going to start it this weekend. ^_^
